Oriol Romero-Isart
Oriol Romero-Isart is a Professor at the University of Innsbruck and Junior Director at IQOQI Innsbruck. He studies topics in the fields of theoretical quantum optics, atomic physics, nanophysics, and superconductivity in the context of quantum science: quantum information processing, quantum simulation, quantum metrology, and foundations of quantum mechanics. He aims at proposing cutting-edge experiments and developing the underlying theory while closely collaborating with experimental groups. His group currently has 4 PhD students, 3 Postdocs, and 1 Master student. Future ESQ Postdocs can develop their research profile benefiting from a broad research background on theoretical quantum optics together with a strong collaboration with experimental groups.
